Visual Link Manager Built for Recall, Not Just Storage

We designed Linklot, an AI-friendly, visual-first bookmarking tool aimed at power users who struggle to retrieve saved content. The platform emphasizes recall over storage by combining fuzzy search, multi-tag organization, and a visual dashboard.

About Linklot

Linklot is a bookmarking SaaS built for people who save a lot of links but can’t remember where they stored them. Rather than just saving bookmarks, Linklot helps users recall what they saved using visual memory, flexible tags, and intelligent search. It’s made for researchers, knowledge workers, creators, and anyone who treats the web as their second brain.

Outcomes

  • 103+ early signups in the first 24 hours. We validated strong demand.

  • Designed an MVP focused on three core features: visual dashboard, freeform tagging, fuzzy search.

  • Built a lightweight design system covering cards, toolbar, icons, and consistent UI components.

  • Architected for future expansion: onboarding flows, mobile extension, AI-powered suggestions, Notion sync.

  • Defined key metrics for growth: save-to-search ratio, tag usage, retrieval latency, and churn.

Understanding the Core Problem

We noticed a pattern across heavy link users. People saved links everywhere but rarely found them again. Bookmarks, notes apps and screenshots created scattered storage with no reliable way to recall what was saved. We framed the core problem clearly. The issue was retrieval, not storage. Linklot needed to help people find things even when their memory was vague.

Validating the Idea Quickly

Once the idea was clear, we moved fast - like 15 hours of work a day fast. We secured the domain the same night and completed the initial UX direction. We shipped a simple landing page to test demand. One hundred and three people signed up within the first twenty four hours. This confirmed that the product direction had real pull and justified building it into a full studio project.

Building the product

Linklot works by mirroring how people naturally recall information. Instead of hiding links inside folders, the system surfaces everything through clear visuals, flexible tags and a search that accepts partial memory. This makes it easy to recognise what was saved, understand its context and retrieve it instantly.

Brand and Identity

We named the product Linklot to reflect a personal vault. The logo is built around an open loop symbol. The visual language is calm, minimal and consistent. The product needed to feel simple and approachable for daily use.

Design and Dev

We worked closely with the development team to test the limits of what was possible inside the first version of Linklot. Every interaction was reviewed in detail. We explored how card states behaved, how tags scaled, how the dashboard adapted to different scenarios and how each flow held up across edge cases.

Conclusion

Linklot exemplifies our ability to transform a deeply personal insight into a polished, scalable SaaS product for AI-savvy users. Instead of building just another bookmarking app, we shifted the paradigm: recall matters more than storage. With strong early validation, a thoughtfully prioritised MVP, and a design system built for scale, Linklot is well-positioned for its next phase of AI-powered retrieval, public boards, and cross-platform growth.
