We came on as their product design partner and designed Wave end to end — across 8 modules. Ten weeks later the whole product was ready for their dev team. The same day Wave wrapped, they kicked off a second product with us.

Challenge

The old platform tried to serve everyone at once. PR agencies, brands and creators all got the same screens, so nobody knew where to start.

The old platform tried to serve everyone at once. PR agencies, brands and creators all got the same screens, so nobody knew where to start.

Wave sits in a category where Shortimize, Modash and Glimpse all show you the same thing, rows of social data you have to read and interpret yourself. Zac wanted a product that did the interpreting for you. Something that looks at what is moving across TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, then says here is the trend, here is why it matters, and here is what you should make next.

So every screen got built around helping people execute, instead of just reporting data. We made sure the product feels like it’s living and breathing as social media waves come by.

“The feed should not just show trends. It should help users compare, prioritize, and understand why something matters.”
