Where it all started

Hi, I’m Siddarth Ponangi, founder of Studio Maydit. We are a design studio that builds tasteful websites and products for the next-gen SaaS companies that want to use great UX as their growth lever.

When I first entered design school, my professors spent an entire day talking about one thing: design exists to solve problems. It is not decoration. That stuck with me. Four years in that environment, surrounded by some of the best designers from India, taught me to treat design like a discipline, not a trend.

As part of my design education, I had visited Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, one of the top design schools in the world. Experiencing how design was practiced there changed my perspective. I saw how the same principles were applied differently across cultures, and how global design thinking could elevate the way we build for users everywhere.

Outside of design, I was making music, playing shows and had built my first music-tech startup. My work was supported by Red Bull, featured on Rolling Stone India, and charted on Apple Music. I learned how to build a personal brand experience people actually care about. Creativity and execution are the two worlds that shaped my approach. The craft and the audience had to work together.

What design means to me

Design is leverage. It shapes how fast a company grows, how trusted it feels, and how easily it converts. But today, design has become far too surface-level.

No shade to anyone, but it’s hard to ignore what the agency world has turned into after COVID. Everyone’s a designer now. A few months on Figma, a Pinterest board, a couple of templates later, and they call it a product. That mindset is exactly why so many companies struggle to acquire users, even when they look polished on the outside. Remove the visuals and you’ll see a UX that can barely stand on its own.

Too many designers overcompensate with visuals because they lack real UX understanding. Taste matters, but it’s the cherry on top. The foundation is problem-solving.

When a company treats design like packaging, it’s already leaving growth on the table. When it treats design as leverage, it turns into an unfair advantage.

The gap I saw

When I was running my previous agency, Moonkraft Studio, we did everything in branding, social media, websites, and products. We shipped over twenty projects. But I noticed a pattern.

Most SaaS and B2B companies had strong tech and marketing, but design was their bottleneck. It wasn’t that they didn’t have designers. It was that they didn’t have design that performed. I wanted to change that.

That’s why Studio Maydit exists. We help SaaS companies become truly design-forward. You don’t have to choose between visuals that impress and UX that converts. You can have both.

My Niche of One

I bring a holistic approach to design. I understand the creative side, the business side, and the systems that hold them together. I’ve worked on products for billion-dollar companies, scaled startups from zero, and built my personal brand from scratch.

This isn’t theory. It’s a decade of building, failing, and scaling.

I’m a builder at heart. A creator who likes turning ideas into tangible things. My goal isn’t to only win once but to have enough fuel in my tank to keep playing the game.

How we work

We’re a small team of high-agency people who care deeply about what we build. We treat every product like it’s our own.

Every product we build for a client, we build with that mindset. That’s why many of our clients end up giving us lifetime licenses to the products we’ve helped them build, because we integrate them, use them, and refine them ourselves.

Why the name Studio Maydit

The name has intent. We wanted something that reflected both ownership and outcomes. When someone asks, “Who made it?” the answer should be Studio Maydit. That phrase captures everything our culture stands for: accountability, pride, and results.

The next chapter

My next goal is to help build a product that reaches a million users. I’ve already built one that crossed 100k. Now it’s time to push further.

I want Studio Maydit to be the go-to design partner for the next generation of SaaS that want to turn design into their growth engine.

Design isn’t what people see. It’s what helps them stay.

If you’ve read this far, I’m glad you did.

If you’re building something meaningful and think design could be your leverage, I’d be more than happy to help you get there.
