10 Best Website Redesign Agencies for Solo Founders - September 2026

Ten studios that redesign sites for one-person companies, compared on published pricing, team size, and whether you can still edit the thing after they leave.

Founder, Studio Maydit

Design partner for AI companies

We design products and websites for AI companies that help them look and feel like a category leader.

If you are a solo founder rebuilding your website, the ten studios worth reviewing are Studio Maydit, Push Refresh, Digidop, Flowout, Flow Ninja, Refokus, 8020, Ramotion, Edgar Allan, and Engine Digital. Push Refresh and Digidop lead this list. Push Refresh is a one to ten person team working in Framer from Dallas, publishes a starting price, and has shipped for SmithRx, Synonym, and Northern National. Digidop is a one to ten person Webflow team in Paris, founded in 2021, also publishes a starting price, and has shipped for TSE Energy, Ramify, and StreamNative. Both are small enough that the person who answers your email is the person doing the work. Engine Digital and Edgar Allan fit least well. Both are built around large client organisations, neither publishes a price, and both assume a marketing team exists on your side.

Nobody tells you that hiring a design agency is a management job.

You did not have a manager before this. You had a list, and you worked through the list, and the work either happened or it did not. Then you hire a studio and suddenly you are the client, the stakeholder, the copywriter, the approver, and the person who has to notice when something is late.

Most agency processes rest on an assumption nobody says out loud. They assume a team on your side. The kickoff workshop assumes people to align. The stakeholder interviews assume stakeholders. You are one head, and you already know most of the answers, so half the process is a ceremony you are paying to attend.

The second thing nobody says is what happens after. A redesign ends and the agency leaves, and the site becomes yours to run alone. That is the moment that decides whether the money was well spent.

Most AI products look the same. Yours doesn't have to.

How we picked these agencies

Five checks produced this ranking, and every one of them can be answered from a studio's public pages before you spend an hour on a call.

Platform depth, measured by whether you can change the site yourself afterwards. A solo founder edits their own copy, usually late, usually the night before something ships. A studio whose default is a custom build is handing you a site that needs a developer for every sentence, and you do not have one.

Proof of working with very small companies. This is the criterion that matters most here, and it is not about any particular sector. It is about whether a studio has run a project where the client was one person. Studios whose portfolio is entirely large organisations have processes shaped around committees, and those processes do not shrink gracefully.

Pricing. Is a starting figure published anywhere. For a solo founder this is worth more than it looks, because it is the difference between ruling a studio out in a minute and finding out after two calls that they were never in range.

Team shape. A one to ten person studio gives you the senior person directly. A fifty person studio gives you an account manager and a pitch team, then hands the work to people you have not met. Neither is wrong, but only one of them is designed for a client who answers their own email.

Their own website. It is the only project where they had no client to blame and no budget to argue about. For a redesign specifically, check whether their old URLs still resolve, because that tells you how seriously they take traffic that already exists.

Every finding below comes from a public source. Nothing has been estimated or inferred, so a row reading Not published means the studio genuinely does not publish it.

What goes wrong for solo founders

Three failures, and the first one is the most expensive because it is invisible while it is happening.

The process is built for a team you do not have. A discovery phase, a stakeholder workshop, an alignment session, three rounds of consolidated feedback. All of that exists to get five people in a company to agree. There is one person in your company and they agreed with themselves months ago. You end up paying, in weeks and in money, for coordination that has nothing to coordinate. Ask directly what the process looks like when the client is one person, and listen for whether they have ever done it.

You inherit a site you cannot touch. The build looks excellent on handover day. Then you want to change a headline, and it turns out the headline lives in a component that needs a deploy. For a company with an engineer this is an annoyance. For a solo founder it is a freeze. The site slowly stops matching the business because the cost of every small edit is a favour you have to ask someone for.

The site pretends to be a company. We built this. Our team. Our approach. A meet the team page with one photograph and a lot of white space. Solo founders hide the fact that they are solo, and the hiding is exactly what makes the site read as thin, because the language promises an organisation the visitor can tell is not there. Being one person is not the weakness. Sounding like a committee that does not exist is.

1. Studio Maydit: A Top-Rated Design Agency for AI Founders

The fixed scope option runs three to four weeks, which for a one person company is the difference between a project you can hold in your head and one that quietly becomes a second job. There is no workshop series to attend and no alignment phase, because there is nobody to align. Studio Maydit is a web and product design studio working with AI founders in the US, UK, and Europe.

Sites get built in Framer, Webflow, or custom code, and for a solo founder the choice is usually settled by one question: what happens the first time you want to change something at eleven at night. The work carries on into product design after the site is live. Teams who keep shipping take a monthly retainer instead, which covers new pages, campaigns, and product design, with no long lock-in. A fixed-scope project ends with a diagnosis of what is leaking in the product, not a handoff and goodbye.

Dualite is the published outcome. Design work supporting a repositioned ICP helped the product reach 100,000+ users in seven months. The part that transfers to a solo founder is the order of operations: the decision about who the product was for came before any screens, which is the decision you are best placed to make and worst placed to delay. Recent clients include Wave, PixelFlow, Mi-VAD, and 15 other AI and SaaS teams.

2. Push Refresh

Push Refresh is a one to ten person team in Dallas working in Framer, publishing a starting price, for SmithRx, Synonym, and Northern National. This is the closest match on the page to how a solo founder actually works. The team is small enough that there is no account layer, the price is checkable before you talk to anyone, and Framer means you can rewrite a page yourself on a Sunday.

A team that size cannot run two things at once, so timelines follow their queue rather than your urgency. The named clients are also smaller and less recognisable, which matters if you need a logo to do some of your selling.

3. Digidop

Digidop has worked from Paris since 2021 with a team of one to ten in Webflow, publishing a starting price, for TSE Energy, Ramify, and StreamNative. Same shape as Push Refresh, with Webflow instead of Framer, which is the better choice if you expect the site to grow past a handful of pages.

The team sits in one European city, so working hours barely overlap a US founder's day. The named clients are European and mid-sized, which tells you little if you sell to American software buyers.

4. Flowout

Flowout is a distributed Webflow studio that publishes a starting price and works with Jasper, Kajabi, Riverside, and Sendlane. It runs on a subscription shape rather than a project shape, which suits a solo founder better than it suits most companies, because the work arrives in small pieces you can actually review between other jobs.

Neither the founding year nor the team size is published, so you are buying a process rather than a known group of people. Subscription models also reward founders who send work steadily, and a solo founder who goes quiet for three weeks is paying for capacity they did not use.

5. Flow Ninja

Flow Ninja has worked from Belgrade since 2018 with a team of eleven to fifty, building in Webflow. The size is the point for this audience. A studio of that shape can give you a senior person on the actual work rather than on the pitch, and Webflow leaves you able to change your own headlines afterwards.

No clients are named publicly and no starting price is published, which means you are doing more verification work than with most of this list. For a solo founder, whose time is the scarcest thing they have, that is a real cost.

6. Refokus

Refokus works remotely from Germany, founded in 2021, with eleven to fifty people building in Webflow, for Mural, BASF, Spotify, Yahoo, and BCG. The work is visually ambitious in a way most Webflow studios are not, which helps if your site looks like every other one-person consultancy.

No starting price is published and the named clients are large, so the floor is likely to be high for a solo budget. The ambition also cuts the other way: a site with a lot of motion in it is a site with more to maintain.

7. 8020

8020 has worked from San Francisco and New York since 2014 in Webflow, for Wave, Superlist, Pilot.com, Vanta, and Circle. That client list is the useful part here, because those are software companies whose sites had to explain a product rather than decorate a brand.

No team size and no starting price are published. The portfolio is also weighted towards funded companies with marketing teams, which is a different client from a solo founder even when the site looks similar.

8. Ramotion

Ramotion has worked from San Francisco since 2009 with a team of eleven to fifty, and publishes a starting price, which is unusual at that size and genuinely useful when you are deciding alone. Their work covers Mozilla, Okta, Netflix, Adobe, and Xero. For a redesign the relevant strength is that a studio of this age has moved a lot of existing traffic without breaking it, which is the risk you carry if your current site already ranks for anything.

The client list is the problem as much as the proof. These are large organisations with marketing departments, and a solo founder is not the shape of client this studio is built around. Expect a floor that sits well above a one-person budget.

9. Edgar Allan

Edgar Allan has worked from Atlanta since 2014 with fifty-one to two hundred people, primarily in Webflow, for Porsche, Duracell, and NCR. Webflow is the right instinct for a solo founder, because it means the copy stays yours to edit after the project ends rather than becoming a request you have to send someone.

The scale works against you. A studio this size runs projects with account layers, and no starting price is published, so you cannot check whether you are in range without spending calls to find out.

10. Engine Digital

Engine Digital has worked from Vancouver and New York since 2002, building in custom code, for Adidas, Autodesk, Goldman Sachs, and HP. Two decades of custom builds means they can do things the Webflow studios here cannot, which matters if your site must run something live from your product.

For a one-person company this is the wrong shape almost every time. No team size and no starting price are published, the client list is enterprise, and a custom build leaves you with a site you will need to pay someone to change.
