Mi-VAD is building a heart pump about the size of a coin. It sits inside the aorta and helps a failing heart keep doing its job, without the tubes and battery packs that come with the devices used today.

We designed and built the full site in Webflow, from the first hero concept through to the day the domain went live. The people behind Mi-VAD are surgeons and engineers from Mayo Clinic and Cornell, with patents granted worldwide. The site had to carry that weight from the very first scroll.

THE SCIENCE

In sync with the body,
not in conflict with it.

Mi-VAD is engineered to augment the body’s natural flow of blood.

Supporting circulation rather than disrupting it.

By moving in harmony with each heartbeat, it delivers pulsatile, physiologic support.

The kind of rhythm the body actually needs and expects.

The result is cardiac support that feels more balanced, more responsive, and working in synchrony with the heart itself.

Mi-VAD's entire pitch rests on being small. The device weighs about 12.7 grams and fits inside an artery, while the HeartMate 3 it competes with is the size of a fist and comes with a driveline and battery packs.

The site talks to two rooms at once. Investors deciding whether this is real, and clinicians deciding whether it is safe. Both form a view of the company before they ever get to the science.

So we built everything around quiet confidence. The page had to feel the way the device works.

“The idea for the brand is for it to feel soft. It's really soft, warm and human. Away from sort of big tech. It's targeted at investors.”

THE MISSION

A longer life isn’t enough. We
all want a fuller one.

We’re working toward a future where people
living with heart failure can move more freely,
worry less, not have to think about cardiac
support and spend more time on what they love.

WHAT MAKES Mi-VAD DIFFERENT

Your heart is clearly extraordinary.
We’re building something worthy of it.

Built to feel less like a device. More like freedom.

Works with your natural rhythm, not against it

Fully implantable, with no external hardware to manage

Designed to reduce the lifestyle limitations of current devices

Smarter, adaptive therapy that responds to how you live

Supports a range of heart conditions, not just one

Mi-VAD went from kickoff to a live site in nine weeks, with a homepage that makes the case for small before it says a word about specifications.

We designed and built five pages in Webflow with a team of three. The site now carries the company’s story for investors and clinicians alike, from the device on the first scroll to the science, the team and the mission behind it.

The Mi-VAD footer: the name set large and pale behind green hills, beautifully small, and the line A new ventricular assist device that will transform the treatment of end stage heart failure.
