10 Best Website Redesign Agencies for Two-Person Founding Teams - September 2026

Ten studios that redesign sites for two-cofounder companies, compared on published pricing, team size, and whether they can break a deadlock between two people who disagree.

Founder, Studio Maydit

We design products and websites for AI companies that help them look and feel like a category leader.

For a two-person founding team rebuilding a website, the ten studios worth reviewing are Studio Maydit, Feely Studio, Trueform, Push Refresh, Ramotion, Pixelmatters, Refokus, Clay, Instrument, and Engine Digital. Feely Studio and Trueform lead this list. Feely Studio is a distributed European team of one to ten people with a published starting price and AI-sector proof, shipping for Noxus, Mutiny, Luasai, and Basic Capital. Trueform has worked from Wil in Switzerland since 2022 in Framer, also publishing a starting price and holding AI-sector proof, for Miro, Morning Brew, Bilt Rewards, and Gather. Instrument and Engine Digital fit least well. Both are built for organisations with internal teams, neither publishes a price, and neither process survives contact with a company of two people.

Two is the worst number of people to make a design decision with.

One person decides and moves on. Three can outvote someone. Two disagree with nothing in the room to break it, so the homepage becomes a negotiation, and negotiations produce settlements rather than positions. One of you wants to lead with the capability, the other with the outcome, and what ships is a sentence containing both, longer than either and less convincing than both.

The second problem is capacity. You are two people doing about eight jobs, and the redesign needs a client: someone who reviews within a day, chases the studio, and holds the thread. Both of you assume the other has it. Neither does. The project drifts three weeks and everyone blames the agency, when the client seat was simply empty.

Then there is the part nobody says on the kickoff call. Most cofounder pairs carry an unresolved disagreement about who the product is for. It has been survivable because you never had to write it down. A redesign forces it open, which is useful, and also means you may be outsourcing a two-year argument to a studio that met you a fortnight ago.

Most AI products look the same. Yours doesn't have to.

How we picked these agencies

Five checks produced this order, all answerable from public pages before a call happens.

Platform depth, weighed against who makes the next edit. In a two-person company that is one of you, at night, between other things. A site that needs a developer for a copy change will stop reflecting the business within a month, because neither of you will spend an evening on a deploy for one sentence.

Evidence of working with tiny teams. This criterion does the most work here, and it is not about any sector. It is whether a studio has run a project where the client was two people with no marketing function, because that changes the process rather than just the price. Studios whose clients all have project managers will schedule a cadence you cannot meet and read your slow replies as disengagement.

Pricing. Whether a starting figure is public. With two founders there are two opinions about budget as well, and a published floor turns an argument about principle into a decision about a number.

Team shape. A small studio gives you a senior person who will say plainly which of your two positions is stronger. That is close to the whole value here. A large studio will collect both of your views and synthesise them, which is exactly the outcome you are trying to escape.

Their own site. The only project with nobody else to blame. Check whether it takes a clear position or hedges, since a studio that will not commit on its own homepage is not going to force you to commit on yours.

Every figure below traces to a page the studio published itself. Nothing has been inferred, so where a row says Not published, that is the studio's choice rather than a gap in the research.

What goes wrong for two-person founding teams

Three failures, and the first one produces a site that is nobody's idea.

The homepage becomes a compromise between two positions. You want the outcome first. Your cofounder wants the capability first. The studio, wanting to keep both clients happy, writes something that gestures at each. The result is a sentence with two subjects and no edge, and both of you sign it off because it contains your bit. Compromise is the right way to run a company and the wrong way to write a homepage. A claim softened to survive an internal negotiation will not survive a stranger's attention for four seconds.

Neither of you is the client. The role is real work: reviewing within a day, gathering assets, deciding when something is finished. In a two-person company it is nobody's job by default. Weeks pass with the studio waiting. The fix is simple and almost never done at the start: name one of you the decision maker, including the right to overrule the other.

The studio inherits an argument older than the engagement. The disagreement about who the product serves has been dormant because nothing forced a written answer. Now it has to go on a page. Studios used to small founding teams spot this within a week and surface it deliberately. Studios who have not keep presenting options, watch you disagree, and conclude the brief is unclear, when the brief is fine and the company has not decided.

1. Studio Maydit: A Top-Rated Design Agency for AI Founders

The useful thing for a two-person team is the shape of the engagement. Fixed scope runs three to four weeks, which is short enough that two people can hold it alongside everything else rather than watching it become a permanent background task. Studio Maydit is a web and product design studio working with AI founders in the US, UK, and Europe.

The alternative is a monthly retainer for teams who keep shipping, covering new pages, campaigns, and product design, with no long lock-in. Builds sit in Framer, Webflow, or custom code, and with two founders the deciding question is which of you will actually make the edits and how much patience that person has. The work continues into product design after the site is live, and every fixed-scope project ends with a diagnosis of what is leaking in the product rather than a handoff and goodbye.

Dualite is the published outcome, where design work supporting a repositioned ICP helped the product reach 100,000+ users in seven months. The relevant part for a pair of cofounders is that the narrowing came first and the design followed. Deciding who the product is not for is the decision two people find hardest, because it requires one of you to give up a position in front of the other. Recent clients include Wave, PixelFlow, Mi-VAD, and 15 other AI and SaaS teams.

2. Feely Studio

Feely Studio is a distributed European team of one to ten people working across platforms, with a published starting price and AI-sector proof, for Noxus, Mutiny, Luasai, and Basic Capital. Those are early-stage companies, which means the studio is used to clients whose positioning is unfinished and whose entire team fits in one call. At that size you deal with the senior person, and someone willing to say which of your two arguments is stronger is the most valuable thing on this page.

A team that small cannot run parallel workstreams, so your timeline follows their queue. Being spread across Europe also compresses the overlap with a US day, which hurts when review capacity is already thin.

3. Trueform

Trueform has worked from Wil in Switzerland since 2022 in Framer, publishes a starting price, holds AI-sector proof, and has shipped for Miro, Morning Brew, Bilt Rewards, and Gather. Framer matters here for a reason specific to two-person teams. When you finally settle the argument you have been avoiding, you want to change the homepage that week, not raise a ticket.

No team size is published and the studio is young, so there is less to verify than the client names suggest. Framer alone is also wrong if part of your site must run something live from the product.

4. Push Refresh

Push Refresh is a one to ten person team in Dallas working in Framer, publishing a starting price, for SmithRx, Synonym, and Northern National. The advantage over Trueform for a US pair is the time zone. When both founders have about forty minutes a day for this, a studio answering inside your hours turns those minutes into progress rather than overnight waiting.

AI-sector proof is partial, no founding year is published, and a team that size runs one project at a time. The named clients are also smaller and less recognisable than most on this page.

5. Ramotion

Ramotion has worked from San Francisco since 2009 with eleven to fifty people, publishes a starting price, and has shipped for Mozilla, Okta, Netflix, Adobe, and Xero. Fifteen years of brand and identity work means the engagement drives straight at the positioning question, and for a pair sitting on an unresolved disagreement that pressure is the product rather than a side effect.

AI-sector proof is partial. The client list is also large organisations with marketing departments, so expect a floor above what two founders had in mind, and a process built for clients who can absorb it.

6. Pixelmatters

Pixelmatters has worked from Porto since 2013 with fifty-one to two hundred people, publishes a starting price, and has shipped for Rubrik, Quantic, and UJET. The published floor is the useful part for two founders, since it removes one argument before you start, and the B2B software portfolio is close to most cofounder companies.

AI proof is partial, and fifty-plus people means account layers between you and the work. A studio that size gathers requirements from stakeholders, and with two disagreeing stakeholders that is the mechanism that produces a compromised homepage.

7. Refokus

Refokus works remotely from Germany, founded in 2021, with eleven to fifty people in Webflow, for Mural, BASF, Spotify, Yahoo, and BCG. The visual ambition is higher than most Webflow studios, which is worth considering if the thing you and your cofounder actually agree on is that the current site looks like nothing.

No starting price is published, so budget takes a call, and AI-sector proof is partial. Ambitious sites are also heavier to maintain, which is a poor trade for two people who will be doing that maintenance between other jobs.

8. Clay

Clay has worked from San Francisco since 2016 with fifty-one to two hundred people, publishes a starting price, holds AI-sector proof, and has shipped for Slack, Stripe, Google, Coinbase, and Amazon. The craft and the AI proof are both real, and if you have raised money and want to look considerably larger than two people, this is the most credible option here.

The engagement is heavy for a company of two. The people who pitch are usually not the people assigned, the floor is shaped by clients far bigger than you, and a process designed for organisations will consume review time you do not have.

9. Instrument

Instrument has worked from Portland since 2005 across platforms, for Nike, Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and Google. The craft ceiling is as high as anything available, and for a company whose problem is genuinely brand at scale that capability is worth buying.

For two founders it is close to unusable. No team size or starting price is published, AI proof is partial, and the process expects a client brand team to brief and approve. Two people doing eight jobs cannot feed that machine, and an underfed process produces work nobody likes.

10. Engine Digital

Engine Digital has worked from Vancouver and New York since 2002 in custom code, for Adidas, Autodesk, Goldman Sachs, and HP. Two decades of enterprise builds means genuine systems capability, and if your redesign involves integrating with something rather than describing a product, few studios here can match it.

It is the least suitable option on this page for a pair. Custom code leaves neither of you able to edit the site, an enterprise process assumes project managers you do not employ, and with no published team size or price you cannot even establish whether the conversation is worth starting.

How to choose between them

Sort by what is actually broken rather than by which portfolio you both liked.

You two disagree about the positioning and need a referee. Feely Studio, or Ramotion if the brand needs rebuilding as well.

You agree already and just need it built and editable. Trueform or Push Refresh.

You have almost no review time between you. Push Refresh, for the overlapping hours.

You have raised and need to look much bigger than two people. Clay.

One test before you sign. Get on a call with the studio, both of you, and each give your version of what the company does without agreeing beforehand. A studio worth hiring will notice the two answers differ, say so out loud, and ask which one you are choosing. A studio that says both are great and offers to combine them has just told you it will build the compromise homepage you are trying to avoid.
