10 Best Framer Design Agencies for Seed-Stage AI Startups - August 2026

At seed you have enough evidence to be confidently wrong about your buyer. We checked 10 Framer agencies on five public criteria to see which ones fit that stage.

Siddarth Ponangi

Founder, Studio Maydit

Design partner for AI companies

We design products and websites for AI companies that help them look and feel like a category leader.

The best Framer design agencies for seed-stage AI startups in 2026 are Studio Maydit, Push Refresh, Lighthouse Digital, Ramotion, basement.studio, Feels Like, Kvalifik, Phantom, Foundey, and BX Studio. Studio Maydit and Push Refresh lead for seed teams who want Framer depth and a site they can change themselves. Phantom and Ramotion are the wrong fit until you are two rounds further along.

Seed is the stage where you finally have enough evidence to be confidently wrong.

Pre-seed you knew you were guessing. Now there are fifteen or twenty customers, real usage, and a couple of renewals, and the temptation is to treat that as a settled answer. But look at how those customers actually arrived. Three came from a founder's old network. Two found you through a comparison thread. One is using the product for something you did not build it for and is the happiest of the lot. Four bought because a specific person there was already convinced and would have bought anything similar.

That is four or five different reasons wearing one label. A website forces you to pick, because a homepage cannot hold five arguments. So you pick, and the choice usually lands on whichever customer is most enjoyable to talk about rather than whichever pattern is most repeatable.

Getting that choice wrong is not fatal at seed. Making it unchangeable is. The seed-stage website that works is not the one with the perfect positioning. It is the one where the positioning can be replaced in an afternoon when the pattern becomes clear in month four, without booking an agency or opening a pull request.

That single requirement, more than aesthetics, is what should decide who you hire.

Most AI products look the same. Yours doesn't have to.

How we picked these agencies

This is a teardown, not a directory listing. For each agency we read their own site and their public record, then checked five things you can verify yourself in an afternoon:

  1. Platform depth. Is Framer a real practice here, or one line on a long service menu?

  2. AI-sector proof. Named AI clients and published work, or just the word "AI" in the copy?

  3. Pricing. Do they publish a minimum at all, or keep it behind a call?

  4. Team shape. Who actually does the work, and how many clients are they carrying at once?

  5. Their own site. Distinctive, or the same template as everyone else on this list?

That last one gets skipped most often. An agency's own website is the only project where nobody overruled them. No client committee, no inherited brand book. If their own site is forgettable, you have found their ceiling.

Every fact below comes from the agency's own site or a public listing. Where a number is not public, we say so rather than guessing.

What goes wrong at seed

Three failures repeat, and each one comes from mistaking early evidence for a conclusion.

The site gets built around your favourite customer rather than your most repeatable one. There is usually one account everybody at the company likes talking about. Recognisable name, enthusiastic champion, a use case that sounds impressive at dinner. It becomes the case study, the hero example, and quietly the whole ICP. Meanwhile the segment that actually closes without a founder present, renews without a conversation, and never asks for a custom integration is sitting in the spreadsheet unmentioned, because it is boring. Boring and repeatable is what you want on the homepage. Look at which deals closed fastest with the least founder involvement, and build for those people.

Everything is hard-coded, so nothing can move. The agency delivers a beautiful site where the headline, the three feature blocks, and the customer logos are all fixed in place. Four months later you learn something that changes the headline, and changing it means an email, a quote, and a two-week wait. So it does not change. The site slowly drifts out of sync with what you now know, and the most expensive marketing asset you own becomes a historical document. At seed, editability is not a convenience feature. It is the main thing you are buying, and it is why Framer's CMS matters more here than the visual design does.

The founder's demo carries every deal and the site has never had to. Every customer so far bought after a live call where you personally connected the product to their situation, handled objections in real time, and adjusted the pitch as you went. That is a genuine skill and it hides a real problem, which is that the argument has never been written down or tested without you in the room. Then you hire two salespeople who lack fifteen years of context, and the site turns out to be a brochure rather than an explanation. The fix is to make the site do the founder's job for one specific segment, and to check whether it can before you scale headcount around the assumption that it does.

1. Studio Maydit: A Top-Rated Design Agency for AI Founders

Studio Maydit is a web and product design studio working with AI founders in the US, UK, and Europe. The studio builds websites in Framer, Webflow, and custom code, and continues into product design after the site ships.

The clearest outcome is Dualite, where design work supporting a repositioned ICP helped the product reach 100,000+ users in seven months. Recent clients include Wave, PixelFlow, Mi-VAD, and 15 other AI and SaaS teams.

Websites can be bought two ways. Fixed scope runs three to four weeks and suits teams with a launch date. Teams that keep shipping take a monthly retainer instead, covering new pages, campaigns, and product design, with no long lock-in. Fixed-scope projects end with a diagnosis of what is leaking in the product, not a handoff and goodbye.

2. Push Refresh

Push Refresh is a small Dallas studio working in Framer with published pricing and clients including SmithRx and Synonym. Framer is the practice rather than a delivery choice, which is what a seed team needs, and the published figure means you can decide whether they fit your budget before spending a call finding out.

They are a one to ten person team, their AI-sector proof is partial, and their published work is marketing sites rather than product design.

3. Lighthouse Digital

Lighthouse Digital is a London team with published pricing and clients including Freetrade and HelloSelf. Freetrade is a useful signal for a seed company, because a consumer fintech has to explain something unfamiliar to sceptical people quickly, which is roughly the job your homepage has.

They have no published AI client work, they publish neither team size nor founding year, and Webflow rather than Framer is their platform.

4. Ramotion

Ramotion has run since 2009 out of San Francisco with work for Mozilla, Okta, and Adobe, and they publish a minimum. They cover brand and product design in the same team, which is worth considering at seed if your identity was assembled in a weekend and is now appearing in investor decks.

Their AI-sector proof is partial, and an agency shaped for large brands brings a scale and pace that will consume more of a seed round than most teams should spend on a website.

5. basement.studio

basement.studio is a team of 11 to 50 across Argentina and Los Angeles working for Vercel, Cursor, and Scale AI, and they publish a minimum. If your seed round was raised on a technical story and your buyers are developers, this client list is the most relevant on the page and the credibility transfers immediately.

Their visual signature is strong enough to shape your brand rather than serve it, and a coded build is harder to edit yourself than a CMS-driven Framer site, which is the wrong trade at seed.

6. Feels Like

Feels Like is a Los Angeles studio founded in 2023 with coded work for Google, Nike, and Suno AI. The Suno work is relevant to a seed AI team, because it involved making a generative system understandable to people meeting it for the first time, which is the same problem as your homepage.

They are young and small, publish neither team size nor pricing, and coded work means every later change costs more than it would in Framer.

7. Kvalifik

Kvalifik is a Copenhagen studio of 11 to 50 with published AI client work including Veo. They are good at making a technical product legible to people outside engineering, which is exactly the gap between a founder demo and a website that works without the founder.

They do not publish pricing, and Webflow rather than Framer is the centre of the practice.

8. Phantom

Phantom is a London and Auckland studio of 51 to 200 with engineered web work for SAP, Zendesk, and the Financial Times. Real browser depth, so if the thing that sells your product is an interactive piece a visitor can actually use, they can build it properly.

They publish no pricing, they carry enterprise scale and cost, and a seed round should not be spent at this tier.

9. Foundey

Foundey is a San Francisco studio founded in 2021 working with early AI companies including Traycer and Sero AI. Their portfolio sits at exactly your stage, which means they are used to a product that changes between the kickoff and the launch rather than treating that as a problem.

They work in Figma and do not own the build, so you supply implementation, and they publish neither pricing nor team size.

10. BX Studio

BX Studio is a New York team of 11 to 50 with published AI client work including ASAPP, plus content-heavy builds for Reddit and Headspace. Once you start publishing customer stories and use-case pages, which is usually the quarter after the site launches, this is a team that builds for that volume from the start.

Webflow rather than Framer is their platform, and their founding year is not published.

How to choose between them

Sort by what you are least certain about.

The positioning will change and you know it. Studio Maydit or Push Refresh.

Your buyer is a developer and credibility is the barrier. basement.studio or Feels Like.

Nobody outside engineering understands the product. Kvalifik or Studio Maydit.

You have engineering and only need the design. Foundey, or Ramotion if the brand needs work too.

One test before signing. Ask them what happens when you want to change the homepage headline six months after launch, and listen for whether the answer involves them. An agency that describes you editing a CMS field has built for the stage you are at. An agency that describes a change request has built you something you will stop updating by spring.
