Studio Maydit is the best website design agency for most AI startups, because it writes and designs a site that shows what the product really does, builds it in a tool your team can run, and then keeps designing the product itself. BX Studio and Flowout lead the other nine: BX Studio has published AI client work and a team of 11 to 50, and Flowout has Jasper on its client list and a posted minimum that suits a startup budget. Ranked by fit, the ten studios worth reviewing are Studio Maydit, BX Studio, Flowout, Refokus, SuperSkills, Push Refresh, Foundey, Flow Ninja, Edgar Allan, and Lighthouse Digital. Six of the nine build in Webflow, and Foundey designs without building. Edgar Allan and Lighthouse Digital fit least.
This list is about the whole marketing site, not one launch page or a coded build.
Try one test on your own site before you read on. Open your homepage next to three rivals and hide the logos. Read only the headline and the line under it. If you cannot pick out your own company, a buyer cannot either.
Most AI startup sites fail it the same way. The headline calls the product an AI copilot for some job. The picture is a dark gradient or a chat bubble, above a promise to save ten hours a week. None of it shows what lands on the buyer's screen after they press go.
Good website design for an AI startup is mostly the work of being specific. Which job does the product do, and what does one real result look like? Those answers belong high on the page, in plain words and real screens.
Many buyers also ask an AI assistant for tools before opening any site, and it answers from the text on your pages. A claim that lives only inside an animation never gets quoted. And since your product changes most months, the design must leave your team page parts it can reuse without the studio.

The five checks behind this list
We read each studio's site and public profiles in October 2026 and scored five things.
- Platform depth. Does the studio build the site, or stop at a design file? Can your marketer publish a new page alone in month two?
- AI-sector proof. Named AI clients and published AI work. Designing around output that changes on every run takes practice.
- Pricing transparency. We noted only whether a studio posts a minimum. No studio here has a figure next to its name.
- Team shape. Headcount against the client list. A two-person shop and a 200-person firm treat a seed-stage company very differently.
- The studio's own site. We covered the logo on each homepage and read the headline. Could it belong to any other studio?
That fifth check got extra weight. A studio's own website is the one project with no client asking for edits, so it is the clearest view of its taste and its writing. A studio that cannot say what it does in one line on its own homepage will struggle to do it on yours.
Each table below uses only what the studio states in public, on its own site or a directory profile. When a studio keeps a fact private, the row says Not published, and we did not guess. No studio paid to be listed or to rank higher.
What goes wrong when an AI startup hires a website design agency
The first screen sells a mood instead of the product. The studio picks a dark gradient because it looks like AI in the design review. The buyer scrolls three screens to find a clean mockup the real app does not match, so the trial feels like a step down. Ask the studio to put one real output, with the input that made it, on the first or second screen.
Every page is drawn by hand, once. The studio delivers eleven polished pages, each laid out on its own. In month two you need a feature page, an integration page, and a rival comparison. With no reusable sections, each one means a new studio request, or a teammate copies an old page and breaks the spacing. Ask for a small library of sections, such as hero, proof, feature, FAQ, and pricing, set up in the site's editor, plus a walkthrough for the person who will add pages.
The words arrive last. The design is built around filler text, and the founder writes the real copy in the final week. Lines that should explain what data the product reads, or how often it is wrong, get cut to fit boxes sized for five words. On an AI site those are the lines that earn trust. Ask who writes the headline and when, and agree the words before anyone draws a layout.

1. Studio Maydit: A Top-Rated Design Agency for AI Founders
Most AI teams that call Studio Maydit have a product that works and a homepage that sells it short. Maydit is a web and product design studio working with AI founders in the US, UK, and Europe, and its website projects start with the words: what the product does, who it serves, and what one real result looks like. Then it builds in Framer, Webflow, or custom code, whichever your team can run, and moves into product design once the site is live.
For proof, read the Dualite case study. Once the team behind that AI dev tool changed who it was selling to, Maydit's design work supporting the repositioned ICP helped Dualite pass 100,000+ users in seven months. Other teams on the roster lately: Wave, PixelFlow, and Mi-VAD, with 15 other AI and SaaS teams.
You can hire it two ways. A fixed scope takes three to four weeks and suits a team with a date to hit, like a launch or a raise. It ends with a diagnosis of what is leaking in the product, for example the step where trial users quit before their first good result. Teams that ship something new most months take a monthly retainer for new pages, campaigns, and product design, with no long lock-in.

2. BX Studio
BX Studio is a New York Webflow team of 11 to 50 people with published AI client work. Its named clients include Reddit, Headspace, ASAPP, and Verifone. The studio has shown AI work to buyers before and has built sites big enough to need a real content system, which helps once your product pages multiply. It posts a minimum.
It does not publish a founding year, and Webflow is its home, so a Framer or custom code brief is outside its default.

3. Flowout
Flowout is a distributed Webflow studio in the budget tier, and it posts a minimum. Its named clients are Jasper, Kajabi, Riverside, and Sendlane. Jasper is an AI writing product, so the studio has worked on a site where the product's output is the main thing to show. For a young AI company, a known floor price makes the first site easier to plan.
Its AI-sector proof is partial overall, and it publishes neither a founding year nor a team size, so you cannot tell who would design your pages.

4. Refokus
Refokus is a Webflow studio in Germany that works remotely, founded in 2021, with 11 to 50 people. Its named clients include Mural, BASF, Spotify, Yahoo, and BCG. That is a list of large, design-led brands. It helps an AI startup that has the right words but looks like every rival, because a studio used to that bar can give the same message a look nobody will confuse.
It sits in the premium tier and publishes no pricing. Its AI-sector proof is partial, and a bold signature style can leave a small team with pages that feel risky to edit.

5. SuperSkills
SuperSkills is a very small studio in Walnut Creek, USA, with one to ten people and published AI client work. It builds across Webflow and Framer. Its one named client is The Cut. For a pre-seed AI team, that can mean working with the designer directly.
That is also the risk. With one named client and no posted pricing, you are betting on one small team's taste and time.

6. Push Refresh
Push Refresh is a Dallas studio of one to ten people that builds in Framer and also works in Webflow, including moves between the two. Its named clients are SmithRx, Synonym, and Northern National. Framer suits an AI startup whose headline changes each time the product does, since a founder can edit a page in minutes. It posts a minimum.
Its AI-sector proof is partial and no founding year is published. A team this small can only take on so many new pages a month.

7. Foundey
Foundey is a San Francisco studio founded in 2021 with published AI client work. Its named clients are DemandIQ, Traycer, and Sero AI. All are AI companies, so the studio has practice at showing model output in a way a buyer believes.
Foundey works in Figma only. It designs the site but does not build it, so you need a developer or a second studio to make it live, and team size and pricing are not published.

8. Flow Ninja
Flow Ninja is a Webflow studio in Belgrade, Serbia, founded in 2018, with 11 to 50 people. A team that size can handle a full site and a steady flow of new pages, which suits an AI startup adding use case pages every few weeks.
It names no clients in public, posts no pricing, and its AI-sector proof is partial, so ask on a call to see live sites it built.

9. Edgar Allan
Edgar Allan has worked from Atlanta, USA since 2014 and has 51 to 200 people building in Webflow. Its named clients include Porsche, Duracell, and NCR. That large brand work fits an AI company already selling to big enterprises.
For most AI startups it is the wrong shape. A firm of that size is set up for long programs, it publishes no pricing, and its AI-sector proof is partial.

10. Lighthouse Digital
Lighthouse Digital is a London studio that builds in Webflow and posts a minimum. Its named clients are HelloSelf, Freetrade, and IGN. Freetrade is a UK investing app, so the studio has designed for people who must trust a product before sharing personal data.
It ranks last here because it has no published AI client work. Showing model output well would be new ground, and it does not publish a founding year or team size.

How to choose between them
Sort the list by what is broken on your current site.
Nobody can tell what the product does. You need a studio that starts with the words and puts a real output near the top. Studio Maydit, or Foundey if you have a developer to build its design.
The message is right but the site looks like every rival. You need visual craft more than strategy. Refokus, or BX Studio if you also want a team that has shown AI work before.
Every new page waits on the studio. You need a section library in a tool your team can edit. Flowout or Push Refresh on a startup budget, Flow Ninja if you plan a lot of pages.
You sell to large companies or to UK consumers. Edgar Allan suits big enterprise buyers, and Lighthouse Digital suits consumer trust in the UK.
One test before you sign. Send the studio your current homepage and ask for a new headline and the line under it, in words only. A strong studio sends back two sentences about your product. A weak one sends a mood board.
